B O W E is a community design project for a border village, Baan Bo Wee, in Ratchaburi, Thailand. Half of them have no citizenship in Thailand that cause limittation in travelling for creating income in industrial area, also several problems from social disparity issue.
The aim of this project is to develop local bamboo product to create new career chain in the community with existing and simple local skills and make more income for locals by blending into their daily tasks.
Then this activity can help villagers substitute low-paid bamboo basket weaving job and expand new value chain in production to create homeboundery work for non citizenships or elderly.
Courber is a big tote bag where it can hold several things and fold as to cover.
Cadre is a big woman bag size that bamboo structure creates beautiful, simple, and clean detail to the bag.
Cross Cadre is a crossing bamboo structure that a lot thinner than Cradra whitch make it very light and create more dramatical detail and exotic sense.
How to bend bamboo
and Metal mold
In order to bend bamboo, flaming is the technique that mosly use with bamboo. It is very easy and need simple tool to create fire in a community, such as leftover bamboo. Metal mold will help correct the right curve from bending and its bare the flame.
